Description

The Heavy Equipment Auto Electrician is responsible for repairing and maintaining the electrical systems in heavy equipment and machinery used in the construction, mining, or agricultural industries. The job responsibilities of a Heavy Equipment Auto Electrician may include:


1. Diagnosing electrical problems in heavy equipment and machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes.
2. Repairing or replacing faulty electrical components, such as batteries, alternators, starters, and wiring harnesses.
3. Performing routine maintenance on electrical systems, including cleaning and lubricating parts and replacing worn or damaged components.
4. Testing electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
5. Installing and configuring new electrical components, such as radios, GPS systems, and lighting.
6. Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics to identify electrical problems and determine the appropriate course of action.
7. Maintaining an inventory of parts and supplies needed for electrical repairs.
8. Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on electrical systems.
9. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
10. Communicating with operators and other personnel to identify electrical issues and develop solutions.


Requirement
Heavy Equipment Auto Electrician, must have a secondary certificate or equivalent, along with a technical diploma or certification in auto electrical or heavy equipment mechanics. Additionally, candidates must possess strong electrical and diagnostic skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also important in this role with 5 years experiences.
